Hohenfels (dpa / lsw) – A wolf is suspected of having injured a pony in Hohenfels (Konstanz district). The Ministry of the Environment announced on Friday in Stuttgart that the Forestry Research and Experimentation Institute was informed of the injuries on Thursday. Whether the injuries were caused by a wolf can neither be confirmed nor ruled out at this time.
Samples were taken, which are now being examined in more detail by the Senckenberg Institute. According to the information, the municipality of Hohenfels is outside the support area for wolf prevention. Livestock associations and wildlife officers in the region have been informed of the incident.
