Bietigheim (dpa / lsw) – Gregor Rustige completes the new management trio of the Bietigheim Steelers. The 35-year-old takes over the management of the office and succeeds Volker Schoch in the already relegated German Ice Hockey League (DEL). The Steelers had previously introduced Daniel Naud as sporting director and the new head of sporting development and strategy for youth and professional divisions, Rupert Meister.

The licensing process is now pending for Rustige. “We clearly want to play at the highest level again and are aiming for a place in the playoffs next season. However, for this we not only need the sporting power, but of course also the financial one in the long term. One of my priorities now will be to further develop the club in this way,” said Rustige.
