Sandhausen (dpa / lsw) – Second division soccer team SV Sandhausen has loaned midfielder Merveille Papela from Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05. The club announced on Wednesday. The loan is valid until the end of the season. “With Merveille we have signed a player who can play in several positions in midfield. That makes us more versatile,” said Sandhausen coach Alois Schwartz. The 21-year-old new signing will wear number 24 on his shirt. He has also extended his contract in Mainz by another year until June 30, 2024.
