Heidenheim (dpa / lsw) – One feels reminded of the fairy tale “The Brave Little Tailor” by the Brothers Grimm: The police caught “seven in one go” during a traffic check in Heidenheim, as the old saying goes. Officials stopped a minibus on Wilhelmstrasse on Thursday. Seven people were in the vehicle, but none of them were wearing seat belts, police said on Friday. All seven now have to reckon with a fine of 30 euros each.

The incident prompted the police to issue an urgent warning: one in four fatally injured road users was not wearing a seat belt, officials said. “It’s hard to survive a fall from a height of ten meters. It corresponds to an impact at a speed of just 50 km/h,” they emphasized.
