Pforzheim (dpa / lsw) – Because of the persistent heat and drought, the fire brigade is now moving out in Pforzheim. With three tank fire engines, she waters the city’s trees in coordination with the green space and civil engineering office, as the administration announced on Monday.

The watering work has been going on since last Wednesday. The special operation should last until the weather changes. A city tree receives around 150 liters of water per day and irrigation cycle. And what if there is a fire somewhere in Pforzheim? The fire brigade was “not impaired in its operational capability” by the support, the city said.
