The restructuring of the economy also requires new knowledge from the workforce. They often acquire this through further training. New offers are now being developed for this purpose.
Stuttgart (dpa/lsw) – The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs is reacting to the restructuring of the economy in the state by developing special further training offers. Seven projects will be funded with two million euros, covering important future topics from digitization to artificial intelligence to sustainability, as Minister of Economics Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut (CDU) announced in Stuttgart. It is about the development of modern and short further training formats with which future skills and abilities can be taught.
About a year ago, the IG Metall trade union and the Südwestmetall employers’ association called for a further training boost in Baden-Württemberg’s industry. Among other things, they had emphasized that a large number of employees had to be trained, especially in the field of digitization.
