For the second time within a few weeks, the pilots’ association Cockpit Eurowings pilots is calling for a strike. This time for three days. Travelers are also affected in the southwest.
Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Travelers at Stuttgart Airport must also be prepared for flight cancellations and rebookings from Monday (00.00 a.m.). The reason is a three-day nationwide pilots’ strike at the Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings. According to initial information, 40 of the 84 Eurowings flights to and from Stuttgart cannot take place on Monday. Also on Tuesday and Wednesday, the airline expects to be able to fly just over half of its nationwide offer. According to the information, travelers should inform themselves in advance about their connections.
The reason for this is a strike call by the Cockpit pilots’ association. In the dispute with Eurowings, the union is concerned with reducing the workload in the cockpit. The pilots had already gone on strike on October 6th. Flights were canceled nationwide, thousands of people had to switch to other connections or the train.
