Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – According to a survey, the majority of men (54 percent) in Baden-Württemberg support the federal government’s delivery of weapons for the war in Ukraine. For women in the southwest it is only 31 percent, according to the “Baden-Württemberg Report” commissioned by a merger of private radio stations in the state (Privat.Radio).
Around three quarters of those surveyed (76 percent) are concerned that the war could spread to other countries. 67 percent fear that the war will have a negative impact on the economy. About half (49 percent) worry about nuclear radiation if a nuclear power plant is damaged in war.
According to the survey, only a few respondents would be willing to volunteer for military service in the event of an attack on Germany. It would be 16 percent for men and 5 percent for women.
