Eggingen (dpa / lsw) – A good two weeks after a bank robbery in Eggingen (Waldshut district), the police in the Czech Republic arrested a suspect. An EU arrest warrant was issued against the 27-year-old, the police said on Monday. He is said to have entered the bank with a gun on July 27 and tried in vain to steal money. The search for the fugitive on the German-Swiss border was initially unsuccessful. The suspect is now in custody in the Czech Republic. An extradition process is ongoing.
