Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Tennis fans can look forward to the next appearance of the Polish world number one Iga Swiatek in Stuttgart. The 21-year-old wants to defend her title at the clay court event from April 17 to 23, 2023, the organizers announced on Thursday. Swiatek competed in the most important German women’s tennis tournament for the first time this year and prevailed in the final against Aryna Sabalenka from Belarus. In 2022, the Pole also triumphed at the French Open and the US Open, celebrating her second and third Grand Slam title after the 2020 French Open.
