Rümlingen (dpa/lsw) – A firefighter died on an emergency trip in the Swiss canton of Baselland. According to previous information, the 53-year-old was driving in the direction of Rümlingen on Monday when the vehicle hit the side of the road, the police said on Tuesday.
The fire truck overturned on its left side, got back on its wheels in the following bend and finally came to a standstill on its side. Despite resuscitation, the man died a short time later in hospital. The police suspect a medical cause as the reason for the accident.
