Achern (dpa / lsw) – An accident between two trucks on Friday led to significant obstructions on the Autobahn 5 between the Achern and Appenweier junctions (Ortenaukreis). The middle and right lanes in the direction of Basel had to be closed for hours for the rescue, the police said. The two vehicles collided sideways in the morning, one of which then landed in an adjacent field. A driver was slightly injured in the accident. It was initially unclear how the collision happened. The closure was expected to last until early evening, police said.
