Esslingen (dpa / lsw) – On Sunday evening in the district of Esslingen, two men were independently lured into fights by acquaintances. As the police announced on Monday, a 40-year-old was lured out of his apartment in Oberboihingen and attacked. Accordingly, a 22-year-old suspect is said to have rung the man’s doorbell. When he came out of the apartment, he was expected by the 22-year-old and two strangers. The 22-year-old then attacked the 40-year-old, including with a baseball bat. Two of the perpetrators then fled on foot and one in a car. According to the police, the attacked man initially gave chase. He was later taken to the hospital for treatment. The police are now investigating against the 22-year-old on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
The second incident happened in Wendlingen. According to the police, an 18-year-old was lured into the station underpass by acquaintances. Ten to 15 people, some of them masked, are said to have waited for him there and attacked him. A witness called the police, after which the attackers fled. According to initial findings, the 18-year-old suffered minor injuries. He was treated by the local ambulance service. In this case, too, the police are investigating on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.
