Sankt Märgen (dpa / lsw) – Two motorcyclists were seriously injured in a collision on a country road. According to the first findings of the police, a 67-year-old man wanted to overtake a bus driving in front of him on Saturday with his motorcycle on the 128 country road near Sankt Märgen (Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald district). In the right-hand bend, another 40-year-old motorcyclist came towards him during the overtaking maneuver – there was a collision. Both drivers were seriously but not fatally injured and were treated in hospitals. A rescue helicopter was also on the scene.
The highway was closed for a short time for the rescue work. The property damage was estimated by the police at several thousand euros. She is now investigating the exact cause of the accident.
