Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart has committed attacker Luca Pfeiffer. The 25-year-old comes from the Danish club FC Midtjylland and has a contract until June 30, 2026, as the Bundesliga club announced on Tuesday. The transfer fee should be around three million euros. Last season, Pfeiffer was loaned out to second division club SV Darmstadt 98. There, the Bad Mergentheimer scored 17 goals and six assists in 32 league games.

“With his goal threat, his athleticism, but also with the experience he has gained in his previous career stations at home and abroad, he fits perfectly into our squad,” said VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat. “I’m really happy to be back home,” said Pfeiffer. VfB “is of great importance in the region” and “fascinated him even as a child”.

After full-back Josha Vagnoman (Hamburger SV) and striker Juan José Perea (PAS Ioannina), Pfeiffer is the third new signing from Stuttgart this summer. In the center of attack he is seen as a back-up for goalscorer Sasa Kalajdzic. The Austrian national player Kalajdzic may also leave the club.
