Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – VfB Stuttgart will in all likelihood travel to the training camp without national player Borna Sosa. The Croatian left-back will “rather not” set out for the Allgäu next Saturday with the Swabian Bundesliga soccer team, sporting director Sven Mislintat said on Wednesday. It is more likely that the 24-year-old will return to team training after the week-long camp in Weiler-Simmerberg.
Sosa, who complained of persistent adductor problems in the final phase of last season, is currently completing an individual training program with external specialists. “It’s nothing wild. We can do it normally. He makes a very individual program, that’s exactly what was agreed,” said Mislintat. “I don’t see any danger at all towards the start of the season.” VfB will start the new Bundesliga round against RB Leipzig on August 7th. The previous weekend he was a guest in the DFB-Pokal at third division Dynamo Dresden.
