Heidelberg (dpa / lsw) – The World War II bomb found in Heidelberg on Thursday must be defused as soon as possible. As the city announced on Thursday evening, “a large part of Bahnstadt and parts of Bergheim would have to be evacuated immediately”. The condition of the bomb requires it to be defuse as soon as possible. The work would continue well into the night. According to the information, more than 7,000 people live in the evacuation area. The city asked them to look for places to stay outside of the area. The city will also set up emergency shelters.
