Augsburg (dpa / lby) – More than a dozen trapped swallows have been freed from an emergency in Augsburg. The animals got caught in a bird protection net under a bridge and could not free themselves, as the fire brigade announced on Monday. Accordingly, emergency services abseiled down on Sunday and opened the network. The 20 or so birds then flew “happily into freedom”. It was still unclear who discovered the swallows under the busy bridge.
