Munich (dpa / lby) – According to star violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter, artists have a social responsibility. “As an artist, you are a mouthpiece and can perhaps motivate those who need a last push to help others,” the 59-year-old, who lives in Munich, told the magazine “Bunte”. “Yes, an artist has to assume social responsibility because of his role model function.” Benefit concerts like her performance for Ukraine in Munich in early March are “just a drop in the ocean,” said the musician. “But that’s better than nothing.”
