Hamburg (dpa/lby) – Soccer professional Bakéry Jatta is a candidate for the starting eleven for the second division game of Hamburger SV on Saturday (8.30 p.m. / Sport1 / Sky) at 1. FC Nuremberg for the first time in three months. Reasons are the ban for Ransford Königsdörffer after the red card in the home game against Darmstadt 98 (1:2) and Jatta’s quick recovery. “The muscles are doing really well again. Maybe I have a good healing meat,” said the winger to the “Hamburger Abendblatt” (Thursday) after surviving a severe torn muscle bundle in the thigh. Normally, Jatta’s return was not expected until mid-September.
“It helped me a lot that I was allowed to go home during the rehab period. It was not only good for my thighs, but also for my head. I met my childhood friends again and was able to distract myself,” said the 24-year-old old Gambians. In his homeland he was treated by a physiotherapist. “The visit to Gambia gave me a lot of energy,” said the HSV professional.
Despite his rush to return to the starting XI, he will try to be patient. “The Doc and Sebastian (rehabilitation trainer Capel, d. R.) told me that I should take it slow, but for me it’s like on the field: I can only go fast,” Jatta apologized.
