Bad Abbach (dpa / lby) – After a man went down in the Danube in Lower Bavaria last weekend, his body has probably now been found. Employees of a power plant in Bad Abbach (Kelheim district) found a dead man in the river on Tuesday afternoon, the police said. After initial investigations, the police assume that it is the missing 55-year-old.
The man went swimming in the Danube on Saturday and then suddenly went under. His wife saw this and called 911. Search operations by the water police, the German Rescue Society (DLRG) and the fire brigade over the past few days have been unsuccessful. Divers and a police helicopter were used. According to the police, there is currently no evidence of external or violent influence.
