Cham (dpa / lby) – A coach with 41 children on the way to the school camp drove head-on into an oncoming car on a federal road near Cham on Monday. The bus suddenly got into the oncoming lane – probably because the 69-year-old bus driver was ill – and after the collision continued to scrape along the guardrail. One of the three teachers on the bus finally brought the vehicle to a standstill. The bus driver and the 52-year-old driver were taken to the hospital “with minor injuries”, the students and teachers on the bus were unharmed. The bus and wrecked car were towed away.
