According to his own statement, the boy last knocked over a gravestone in Heiligenstadt at the beginning of September after a dispute with his mother, the police said on Tuesday. According to the current status, the investigators rule out a political motivation. According to their findings, the 13-year-old is said to have knocked over a total of five gravestones in the Jewish cemetery in Heiligenstadt over a year and torn several signposts from their anchorage.
Witnesses last reported such a case on September 2nd. The Bamberg criminal police then took over the investigation. A few weeks later, the officials received a tip that led to the boy from the Bamberg district.
