Munich (dpa/lby) – Around three years after the start of the corona pandemic, the remaining purely Bavarian anti-corona rules expire. The 17th Bavarian Corona Ordinance will be repealed without replacement on March 1st, as Head of State Florian Herrmann (CSU) announced after the cabinet meeting on Tuesday in Munich. Due to federal regulations, however, the mask requirement for visitors to clinics and nursing homes as well as for patients in medical practices, day clinics and similar facilities remains.

Even the last version of the Corona Ordinance contained only a few regulations, namely exceptions to federal test verification obligations. Since these will be lifted on March 1st, there is no need for Bavarian exceptions.
