Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) – After a head-on collision between a car and a truck in Lower Franconia, the driver died. The 62-year-old man encountered oncoming traffic on Friday in Aschaffenburg on the Südring, the police said. Paramedics took the man to the hospital, where he died. A police spokesman said nothing was known about injuries to the truck driver. It was initially unclear why the driver had come into the opposite lane with his car. The southern ring in Aschaffenburg was temporarily closed for several hours due to the accident.
