Waldaschaff (dpa / lby) – After an accident on Autobahn 3 in Lower Franconia, a driver died. The 57-year-old man was traveling near Waldaschaff (Aschaffenburg district) on Friday when he left the lane for an unknown reason and left the road to the right, the police said. As a result, he drove onto a slope, causing the car to overturn. The car skidded about 80 meters over the track and came to rest on its roof.
The driver was reportedly pulled out of his car and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. There he died. The Autobahn 3 was completely closed between the Bessenbach/Waldaschaff and Weibersbrunn junctions in the direction of Nuremberg until the early hours of the morning.
