Regensburg (dpa / lby) – A police officer rescued a drowning man from the Danube in Regensburg. According to initial findings, the 25-year-old went swimming near the historic Steinerne Brücke in the middle of Sunday night and was aborted, the police said on Monday. A passer-by discovered the man, a police officer reportedly jumped into the river with a life jacket, was able to reach the 25-year-old and, with the help of his patrol partner, pull the now unconscious person onto the bank. The rescued came to a hospital.
