Kaufbeuren (dpa / lby) – Due to the explosion of a battery in an industrial plant in Kaufbeuren, the side wall of an industrial hall was extensively destroyed on Thursday afternoon. According to the police, the battery was in a test run. Officials initially reported no injuries. Due to the smoke development, residents should keep their windows and doors closed temporarily. The danger area was cordoned off over a large area for some time. In the afternoon, no toxic components were found in the air. The ban has been lifted.
