Weibersbrunn (dpa/lby) – A 65-year-old landed with his glider near the A3 in Lower Franconia, resulting in a total loss. The reason for the landing on Saturday was a lack of updraft, as the police announced on Sunday. Due to the lack of an engine, the planes would then have to land.

When it hit the meadow near Weibersbrunn (Aschaffenburg district), the aircraft became wedged in the ground and spun. The pilot was not injured. The plane, however, has a total loss estimated at 90,000 euros, according to the police.
