Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern Munich wants to end the 10th matchday of the Bundesliga on Sunday (7.30 p.m.) with a win in the top game against SC Freiburg. With a win in the Allianz Arena, the German champions would overtake Baden, who are second in the table. “It’s an important game in terms of the table,” said Bayern coach Julian Nagelsmann. Munich have only won one of the last six games in the league. Captain Manuel Neuer will be absent again with a shoulder injury. As in the 4-2 win against Viktoria Pilsen in the Champions League, Sven Ulreich will stand in for him in the Munich goal.

Three days before the cup duel with FC Bayern, FC Augsburg want to continue their positive run in the Bundesliga in the away game at 1. FC Köln on Sunday (3.30 p.m.). Coach Enrico Maassen’s team has been unbeaten in four games. However, the Augsburgers are plagued by significant personnel problems: In Cologne, the injured first-choice goalkeeper Rafal Gikiewicz is out again. Tomas Koubek will represent him as in the recent 1-1 draw against VfL Wolfsburg. FCA also have to replace the two suspended centre-backs Jeffrey Gouweleeuw and Maximilian Bauer in defence.
