Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern Munich is going into the top game of the Bundesliga today against Borussia Mönchengladbach with a clear goal. In a duel of first versus second, coach Julian Nagelsmann and his team, who started the season furiously, want to celebrate their fourth win in four games in their home arena. “We’re in a very good mood, we have a lot of self-confidence. It’s important that we don’t stumble,” said Nagelsmann on Friday.

Last season, Bayern couldn’t win any of their three competitive games against Borussia. In the DFB-Pokal there was even an unforgettable 0:5 debacle by Bayern in Mönchengladbach.

FC Augsburg will already be visiting TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on Saturday afternoon (3.30 p.m.). With two home defeats and a surprising win in Leverkusen, the Augsburgers started the season in a mixed way. They also complain about numerous injured professionals, especially on the defensive. FCA coach Enrico Maassen said Hoffenheim had “a lot of attacking quality”. He demanded: “We have to stay brave and keep playing football actively.”
