Stammbach (dpa / lby) – A 70-year-old pedestrian was run over by a driverless car in Stammbach (Hof district) and was slightly injured. The 68-year-old driver of the car probably forgot to put the car in gear and apply the handbrake sufficiently on Wednesday, the police said on Thursday. The car rolled down the slightly sloping street and hit the pedestrian trying to cross the street. The woman fell, the car rolled over her legs. The car came to a stop about 20 meters away when it hit a garden fence. The 70-year-old was taken to the hospital.
