Reichenschwand (dpa / lby) – A battered car driving in wavy lines has triggered a search on Autobahn 3 near Nuremberg. Witnesses alerted the police on Sunday and started the pursuit, the police inspection in Hersbruck said. On the A9 they lost sight of the cars. Only the police were able to stop the 56-year-old driver as part of a search a little later in Reichenschwand in the district of Nürnberger Land.
According to the police, a quick test came back positive for drugs. Investigators then searched the man’s home and found drugs. The 56-year-old is now being investigated for road traffic hazards, hit-and-run accidents and offenses under the Narcotics Act. He had to give up his driver’s license. It was initially not possible to determine where the scratches and dents on the two sides of the vehicle came from.
