Munich (dpa / lby) – Bavaria’s Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) has accused the federal government of not informing citizens properly about legal regulations on the corona vaccination status. The federal government is forgetting to “inform and take the population with it in good time at crucial points,” said Holetschek on Thursday in Munich. As a result, “in the fall there is a risk of a self-inflicted corona chaos that unsettles and burdens people”.

Holetschek referred to a regulation in the Infection Protection Act. According to this, from October 1st, only proof of three vaccinations or two vaccinations and a proof of recovery will be considered complete vaccination protection. Only two proofs are required by September 30th. Many people who have only been vaccinated twice so far are not aware that they will no longer be considered fully vaccinated from October.

The change in status could have far-reaching effects – for example on employees who work in a facility with compulsory vaccination, the minister pointed out. At the latest when restrictions are introduced again according to the 2G or 3G regulations, everyone will be affected. However, this is “hardly known because the federal government has not yet managed to educate people properly,” said Holetschek. He announced that Bavaria would start its own vaccination campaign.
