Coburg (dpa / lby) – After an operation under anesthesia, a man in Upper Franconia fled the hospital immediately after waking up because, according to the police, he wanted to go home as soon as possible. However, he did not make it far: he built an accident with his bike and then immediately came back to the Coburg hospital, the police said on Saturday.

The 33-year-old left the clinic on his own after the operation on Friday when he regained consciousness, got on his bike outside and rode away. Obviously he wasn’t completely fit again, because after a few meters he drove into a car parked on the side of the road without braking. The man then came back to the same hospital – not only to rule out injuries from his accident, but also to break down the anesthetic that was still there, the Coburg police inspection said.
