Ruhstorf an der Rott (dpa / lby) – The police in Lower Bavaria found a puppy that was too young in a man’s car. The police had checked the 24-year-old on the A3 near Ruhstorf an der Rott (Passau district), the police said on Saturday.

Officers found the eight-week-old puppy in the car. The 24-year-old said he was given the dog in Romania. Since the puppy was still too young to be transported and had no vaccinations, it was handed over to an animal shelter. The man now has to answer for violations of the Animal Welfare Act, the Animal Health Act and the Dog Movement and Import Restriction Act. He must also expect to be reported for driving without a license because he was driving without a valid license.
