Mönchsdeggingen (dpa / lby) – In a work accident in a Swabian gravel works, a worker seriously injured his hand. Two fingers were partially torn off, police said on Wednesday. The 43-year-old wanted to check the tension of a V-belt on a conveyor belt in the company in Mönchsdeggingen (Donau-Ries district) and grabbed the V-belt with his left hand – but at the same time the machine started moving. The man was taken to a hospital by rescue helicopter after the incident on Tuesday morning.
