Schondra (dpa / lby) – A man foiled a raid on a gas station on Autobahn 7 in Lower Franconia – whereupon the alleged perpetrator robbed the neighboring gas station directly. The man initially wanted to use a knife to capture the daily income at a rest area in Schondra (Bad Kissingen district) on Thursday night, the police said. When a man in the gas station threw a plant at him, among other things, and drove him out of the shop, the unknown perpetrator reportedly looked for a new target: the gas station on the other side of the A7.

Just over ten minutes after the first attempt, the man there again demanded the daily receipts from a gas station employee with a knife. This time he reportedly stole a mid three-digit amount in cash. A first search by the police was unsuccessful, the investigation continued.
