Munich (dpa / lby) – The CSU European politician Markus Ferber will remain chairman of the party-affiliated Hanns Seidel Foundation for the next four years. Ferber, who has been in office since 2020, was unanimously confirmed by the general meeting on Friday in Munich, as the foundation subsequently announced. Ferber then emphasized that creating awareness of the value of free democracy is “more important than ever in a time of war, hatred and disinformation”.
Apart from its journalistic activities, the Hanns Seidel Foundation is represented in 80 countries and awards scholarships to both German and foreign students.
