Munich (dpa/lby) – On the last day of the Munich Media Days, the focus is on “Web3” and the future of journalism. The Web3 Summit (10:00 a.m.) is dedicated to the effects of a possible new generation of the World Wide Web on the business models of the media industry. The “Web3” describes the idea of ??decentralized technology instead of a few large players.
Finally, the Journalism Summit (3.30 p.m.) deals with the following question: How can traditional media counteract the phenomenon that part of their audience turns away from them because of negative news? It is also about future financing models and the democratic responsibility of the media.
The Munich Media Days will take place from October 18th to 20th at the International Exhibition Center (ICM) in Munich. The annual media congress is one of the largest in Germany. The organizers are expecting a total of up to 7,000 participants this year. Over three days, more than 350 guests will speak on the ICM stages about challenges and current trends in the media industry.
