Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – The regional directorate of the Federal Employment Agency presented the labor market data in Bavaria for July on Friday (10 a.m.). Unemployment in Bavaria rose in June. Around 230,600 people were registered as unemployed – ten percent more than in May. The unemployment rate was 3.1 percent in June, 0.3 percentage points below the previous year’s value and 0.3 points above the May value.

The experts attributed the increased numbers to Ukrainian refugees who have been registered through the job center since June. However, it was also said that many of the refugees have a good education and could therefore be easily integrated into the labor market.
