Nuremberg (dpa / lby) – A roof structure in Nuremberg has burned out completely. A firefighter was slightly injured during the extinguishing work – he twisted his leg. In addition, there were no injuries. The fire broke out on Tuesday night in a back building of the multi-storey residential building and quickly spread to the roof structure, the police said on Tuesday.

The residents of the house were taken to safety, as were residents of surrounding buildings. Due to the cold of around minus eight degrees Celsius, they were accommodated in two regular buses. According to the fire brigade, the house is uninhabitable because the roof structure is in danger of collapsing. The damage is estimated at a six-figure amount. It was not known at this time what caused the fire. The police have started the investigation.
