Regensburg (dpa / lby) – Jahn trainer Mersad Selimbegovic demanded an increase in performance from the entire Regensburg team before the Bavarian duel with SpVgg Greuther Fürth. “Everyone has a duty to step it up a notch. Not just the strikers,” said Selimbegovic before the game against the Franconian table penultimate on Friday (6.30 p.m.).

With only seven goals from ten games, the Upper Palatinate are currently the weakest offensive in the 2nd Bundesliga. According to Selimbegovic, it’s not just his strikers who are to blame. “Someone has to bring the flank. Someone has to play through the pass,” said the 40-year-old.

The Jahn coach does not want to be blinded by the table position of the troubled Fürth. Selimbegovic certified the game association as having a “very talented squad”: “They have now slowly stabilized and they will also come out down there.”
