Bad Aibling (dpa/lby) – The Bavarian Spa Association fears thermal bath closures in view of the increased energy prices and is demanding help from the federal government. “Our health resorts and spas, the health resorts and other facilities are facing massive price increases for electricity and gas,” said the association chairman and district administrator of Wunsiedel, Peter Berek (CSU), on Thursday. “They won’t be able to do this without help.”
This threatened “not only the closure of thermal baths or other companies,” said Berek. “There is a risk that established structures in rural Bavaria will be broken up, jobs will be lost and ultimately there will be massive damage to the health system that can no longer be repaired.” At the same time, one does not know which electricity and gas price brakes will come for the pools, he criticized.
