Straubing (dpa / lby) – The Straubing Tigers can also rely on defender Stephan Daschner in the coming season. The club from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) announced the early contract extension with the 34-year-old defender on Thursday. Daschner is thus entering his sixth season with the Lower Bavarian club.

The defender has played 205 DEL games and seven games in the Champions Hockey League for the Tigers so far. “Daschi is an experienced defender who knows our game system and our mentality very well. He is a hard worker who brings a lot of experience to the team and also passes it on to our younger players,” explained Straubing’s sporting director Jason Dunham.
