Munich / Berlin (dpa / lby) – In Bavaria, the number of clubs has increased over the past ten years. This was the result of a study presented by a subsidiary of the Stifterverband on Tuesday in Berlin. According to this, more than 93,200 clubs were registered in the Free State in 2022 – an increase of ten percent compared to 2012.
The development of the number of clubs varies nationwide. From 2012 to 2022, the largest increase was in Berlin at 22.3 percent. Thuringia, on the other hand, recorded a decline of 7.8 percent. In Bremen, the minus was 7.2 percent.
According to the Stifterverband, the society “Zivilgesellschaft inzahlen” (ZiviZ) published a report on the situation of organizations in Germany for the first time in 2012. The study was supported by several state governments.
