Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) – 160 officers in Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg searched six apartments on suspicion of human trafficking. During the raids in Munich, Illertissen (Neu-Ulm district) and Laupheim (Biberach district), three suspects were arrested, the police said on Thursday. There were also searches in Altötting and Ingolstadt on Wednesday.

At the same time, the Romanian police searched several homes in Romania and arrested another seven suspects. The Ingolstadt Criminal Investigation Department is investigating them mainly for forced prostitution and pimping. The men are suspected of having lured young women to southern Germany in order to force them into prostitution.
