Waldaschaff (dpa / lby) – In an accident on Autobahn 3 in Lower Franconia, three people were injured, one of them seriously. According to the police, a 63-year-old driver lost control of his car near Waldaschaff (Aschaffenburg region) on Thursday because he was apparently driving too fast on the rain-soaked road. As a result, he drove into a car in the middle lane and then veered off the freeway to the right. His car rolled over several times and ended up on a grass verge.
The man had to be extricated from his car and flown to a hospital with serious injuries. The two 54- and 60-year-old occupants of the car involved were slightly injured and, according to the police, were able to leave the clinic a short time later. The A3 was completely blocked for several hours.
