Eggolsheim (dpa / lby) – A detached tire caused an accident in the Forchheim district, in which two senior citizens were seriously injured. A 48-year-old was driving on Autobahn 73 near Eggolsheim on Sunday when the front wheel came loose for initially unknown reasons, the police said on Monday. The tire collided with the car of the 26-year-old driving behind it. His car was thrown and stopped in the left lane. The two 78 and 69-year-old inmates were seriously injured in hospitals.
