Erlangen (dpa / lby) – After an accident, a truck driver died in the hospital in Middle Franconia. According to information from the police, the 64-year-old came off the road in Erlangen with his vehicle on Monday morning for reasons that have not yet been clarified. The truck overturned and landed on an embankment next to the road. Patrol officers freed the driver from the vehicle. He was then taken to a hospital, where he died a few hours later.
The police have yet to determine whether a medical cause or the injuries sustained in the accident were the cause of the truck driver’s death.
